Mass Update
Click the Mass Update button.
Upload your file
Once you click Mass Update, you’ll be asked to upload a file. This can be an Excel (.xls) or CSV (.csv)
There are 3 ways to:
1. Download our template (recommended)
Includes all required fields.
The second tab contains field definitions and allowed values.
2. Export your existing contact list (best for updating existing contacts)
Download a CSV of your current contacts.
Edit it and re-upload.
3. Upload your own spreadsheet
Works with CSV or Excel files.
May require more column/field mapping in the next step.
Map your Data
After uploading, you’ll be asked to map your file’s columns:
The first row is always treated as the header—make sure your column titles are in row 1.
If a header matches a system field, the tool will auto-map it.
After all columns and values are matched, you can continue by clicking ‘Next’.
You can manually adjust mappings or ignore unneeded columns.
Unmatched Values
If you see an error icon, some values weren’t recognised.
Fix these in the Unmatched Section.
Review Summary
Before completing the update, you’ll see a summary:
Updated Contacts – existing contacts that will be changed.
New Contacts – new entries that will be added.
Ignored Contacts – rows are skipped due to errors, such as:
Missing required information (e.g., first or last name).
Invalid email formatting.
Attempting to add to an account/office that doesn't exist on your account.
If there are errors:
Download the Error Report for details.
For small numbers of errors, you can continue with valid rows now and fix the rest later (manually or with another mass update).
Confirm & Finish
After confirming, you’ll see a success message with a summary of updates.
Your changes are automatically saved and you can view a record of updates in the Audit History section.
